Feeling Good As Normal Language

Feeling good, like some languages, is natural for most of us most of the time. We go through our daily lives, doing what we're doing, and frankly things are pretty good. Oh, we have a little ache and pain or a headache or some TMJ or just fatigue from staying up late the night before; occasionally a sore bone, muscle, or joint that goes away with a little time or Advil, but most of us are really getting along pretty well - thank God!

The reason we feel so good is disease processes are generally so slow to develop. The person who smokes doesn't die of emphysema or lung cancer after that first cigarette. Who ever had a heart attack and died after eating one pizza? I don't know anyone. We can do it wrong most of the time and still it seems to turn out right. And as we all know, there is no guarantee that doing it right will make it turn out right. Bizarre accidents do occur and unusual diseases really can happen at any time.

But as said above, thank God most of us are getting along all right…or we just have a “little” high blood pressure/diabetes/high cholesterol/arthritis/bypass surgery/colon polyps/easily upset stomach/stress reaction that we handle fairly well like everyone else.

The unfortunate bottom line is that healthy practices are a foreign language to most of us. There is a Natural Human Design which sounds boring to follow, but like a lot of things, like safe driving, or a raise in your salary, the benefits of freedom from disease require some hard work for which there really are some great rewards. These rewards are the absence of the same and further problems, reduced healthcare costs, a better/more enjoyable/longer life, and frankly feeling better about yourself because you know that you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. I never said you couldn't party once in a while, but we are all partying so much that we literally "nickel-and-dime” ourselves to disease/death.

The Natural Human Design calls for:

  1. Breathing clean air without smoke/crack.
  2. Drinking water and weak herb tea with less than four per week of coffee or alcohol.
  3. A 90% high fiber, unprocessed whole grain/vegetable/bean diet with 4-6 oz. of fish 2 or 3 times a week, a little bit of organic extra virgin olive oil, small amounts of salt/garlic/parsley/ onions for flavor, and fruit.
  4. A very positive and serving attitude with "others" being the focus of the thought process, not yourself.
  5. Use of 5/10/15 pound free weights plus lots of walking. Or try exercise machines such as a treadmill/ Aerobic Rider/elliptical trainer/Nordic Track Cross Country Ski Machine, and Cybex equipment.

All of this adds up to Health becoming the Normal Language of our life resulting in our chance to be free and well and not need healthcare or to have high healthcare costs. You can do it, and there is more than plenty of support for this. Be positive and strong, get started. Being a creature of bad habit can get you in the jail and foreign language of medicine.
